A discrete formulation of teleportation of continuous variables
Teleportation is a process by which one party, Alice, can transfer any (unknown) quantum state |ψ〉 to a distant second party, Bob, by sending him just the classical information containing the outcome x0 of an appropriate measurement performed by Alice, provided the two parties share a nonlocal entangled pair of particles. Alice’s measurement is a joint measurement on two systems, one of which i...
متن کاملTeleportation of Continuous Quantum Variables
Quantum teleportation is analyzed for states of dynamical variables with continuous spectra, in contrast to previous work with discrete (spin) variables. The entanglement fidelity of the scheme is computed, including the roles of finite quantum correlation and nonideal detection efficiency. A protocol is presented for teleporting the wave function of a single mode of the electromagnetic field w...
متن کاملTeleportation of entanglement for continuous variables
Teleportation of a pure two particle entangled state of continuous variables by triplet of the Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger form is considered. The three-particle basis needed for a joint measurement is found. It describes a measurement of momentum one of single particle and total moment and relative position of the two others. Optical realization using squeezed state of the light is discussed.
متن کاملQuantum Teleportation with Continuous Variables: a survey
Very recently we have witnessed a new development of quantum information, the so-called continuous variable (CV) quantum information theory. Such a further development has been mainly due to the experimental and theoretical advantages offered by CV systems, i.e., quantum systems described by a set of observables, like position and momentum, which have a continuous spectrum of eigenvalues. Accor...
متن کاملQuantum teleportation criteria for continuous variables
We discuss the criteria presently used for evaluating the efficiency of quantum teleportation schemes for continuous variables. It is argued that the fidelity criterion used so far has some severe drawbacks, and that a fidelity value larger than 2/3 is actually required for successful quantum teleportation. This value has never been reached experimentally so far.
